FAQ's
Q. I'm still at school but would like to apply to ISSA. What qualifications
do I need to obtain before I can do this?
A. No formal qualifications are required but students must be at least 18
when the course starts. There is an audition process which you must attend.
Students are advised to submit their applications as early as possible. For
full details see our Courses at ISSA page.
Q. I am a UK student applying for the 2 Year Course course, how much will I
have to pay for the fee?
A. You are required to pay the student fee which in the 2010/11 academic
year is £6995.00 + VAT per annum. You can either pay this privately or apply
for a student loan to cover the fee. Full information on fees can be found
on the website or call us on 020 8555 5775
Q. I am applying from Abroad - can you give me advice about seeking
funding?
A. Overseas students should find funding from the country of origin. Proof
that you have sufficient funding in place to cover the full cost of the
training for the duration of the course is required in order to receive a
student visa to study in the UK. Payments must be made in UK sterling.
Q. I am applying for a postgraduate course can you give me advice about
funding?
A. There are no student loans other than Career Development Loans available
for postgraduate students.
Q. Could you advise me on audition?
A. The audition/screen test will last approximately 45 minutes and will
take place at the International School of Screen Acting premises. You will
be assessed on your potential to meet the demands of the course and
considered entirely on the basis of your own merit.
ISSA operates an Equal Opportunities Policy. The audition panel makes the
final decision regarding entry to the School and we aim to notify you in
writing within one week. Successful applicants will have demonstrated a
significant degree of talent, aptitude and commitment as well as the ability
to make a positive contribution to, and benefit from, the Screen Acting
Course and ISSA.
Q. Can I visit, have a look around and speak to students and staff about
the courses?
A. Yes, give us a call to discuss your interest in the course and we will
arrange a suitable time for you to visit the school.
