JULIA de PEYER
Authenticity, Listening and the Actor
Julia de Peyer currently teaches Authenticity, Listening and the Actor at the International School of Screen Acting. Previously she additionally taught workshops on Typecasting, Interview and Audition Technique and has been teaching at ISSA since 2002.
Julia trained as an actor at Drama Studio London and at the Actors Institute, after previously training as a dancer at Bush Davies School of Dance and Theatre Arts and The London Contemporary Dance School. She has worked extensively during her career as a performer, teacher and choreographer. Julia not only works in the field of drama, but additionally undertakes private coaching including confidence building, communication skills and original presentation. She is the founder of The Raise Your Game Workshop Series, a course open to independent students focusing on Authenticity, Listening, and Reacting. When working with actors her influences include Uta Hagen, Moni Yakim and Eric Morris. She has taught previously at Bush Davies Dance and Theatre Arts, Elmhurst School for Dance, London Contemporary School of Dance and Millennium Performing Arts.
