ISSA's weekend Screen Acting & Self Taping Course is a two-day intensive to enhance, improve and develop your performance on screen. 

This course is highly practical and enables students to record short scenes with immediate playback and review by highly skilled tutor/industry professionals. This is designed to offer participants a greater understanding of what makes for a great screen performance.

During the course, you will:
• Learn how to approach and prepare for an on-screen role.
• Understand subtext and engage with your on-screen partner.
• Discover what the camera picks up enabling you to produce a confident on screen technique.
• Film short scenes and receive immediate feedback.
• How to create and get the best out of a self-taped audition.

Two-day full time course (Saturday & Sunday / 10am-5pm) - Participants must attend both sessions.

Day 1
- We will film and playback prepared scenes. Through the observing of your performance, it will provide a greater understanding of what makes a good screen performance. Feedback and constructive discussion during and at the end of the workshop, you will enhance the understanding of creating a real, believable and truthful performance. 

PM- The technicalities of creating a self-tape and how to make quick decisions to get the best out of your taped audition will be talked through. We will look at some self-tapes and performances from TV & Film to see what works and what doesn't. At the end of this session you will be given a scene to self-tape and submit for the following day.

Day 2
- The submitted self-tapes will be watched and reviewed. During playback, we will discuss technique and performance will be explored, as well as, what makes a great self-taped audition.

PM- We will film the prepared scenes and apply the techniques learnt and feedback given by the tutor. Through observing your progress and using all the learned skills and tools, you will achieve a better understanding of work on camera along will exploring how to give a truthful and confident on screen performance in auditions and on set.

Suitable for all levels. Those wanting to build on their existing screen acting knowledge or practice and improve their craft. No audition required. 

Minimum Age: 18+

Entry Requirements: There are no entry requirements. However, to get the most out of the course, all students must have a high standard of English comprehension. 

Duration: Two Consecutive Days - Full time (Saturday & Sunday / 10am-5pm)
